Pirongia School
The Safe & Happy Club has been operating an after school care programme from Pirongia School since 2011. At the request of many parents we recently opened a breakfast club. Leanne Sexton is the manager and with the help of her staff, does an awesome job looking after all our children.
Our breakfast club is open each morning from 7.30-8.30am (7am on request) and our afterschool care programme is open from 3-6pm. We offer a friendly, family like environment, where your child will be safe, happy and engaged. Based at Pirongia School, we have full use of their fabulous playground, fields, courts and the pool in summer. We also supply afternoon tea and offer quiet play, craft, sport and homework for those are there that little bit later than the rest.
For those that require care over the school holidays, we offer a free shuttle into our holiday programme, that operates from Pekerau Primary School. As we are an OSCAR programme, we have gained CYFS approval, which means we have policies & procedures which are onsite for parents to view and the WINZ subsidy is available for those families that qualify. We are reviewed every two years to ensure that we are following CYFS outlines.
All our staff are police vetted and management have first aid certificates.
